Our company was founded in 2019 under the name Expanse Capital as a boutique start-up accelerator for Health Tech projects in the Baltic region. In 2024, we transformed our business model to a venture builder and changed our name to 4PM Ventures. We have a diversified and distributed team with our main office located in Riga, Latvia.

Our team has a combined experience of over 25 years in the venture capital industry, including working on bringing technology startups to markets in Europe, the US and Asia.

Aleksejs Kornevs

Chief Operating Officer, Partner

Chief Operating Officer

Over 18 years of experience in the innovation and development sector. With a background in business management, Aleksejs has dedicated his career to supporting research, entrepreneurship, and startup ecosystems.

Through his work, he has developed a strong understanding of the innovation process from the perspectives of government, academia and industry.

Experience in evaluation of projects, developing and implementing support activities, and facilitation the commercialization of research activities. His role involves collaborating with diverse stakeholders and managing projects from inception to completion.

Aleksejs has specialization in advising healthtech startups on developing their products for the EU market. His responsibilities includes navigating regulations, accessing support, and finding suitable partners.

Education: University of Latvia.

Main areas of expertise: innovation management, startup support, research commercialization, IP, networking.

Yuri Fedotkin

Vladislav Lurye

Partner, Co-Founder

Lawyer in corporate and international law with 18 years of experience in leading banks, investment funds and law firms. Co-managing partner of Lurye, Chumakov & Partners.

Vladislav specializes in legal support of transactions for attracting investments by startups, transactions for the sale of companies to strategic buyers (M&A), support for startups when entering foreign markets, including through the creation of joint ventures.

The total amount of mezzanine and venture financing transactions completed by Vladislav as a lawyer over the past few years exceeds $600 million.

Vladislav listed among the best specialists in Corporate Law according to the international independent rating of lawyers Best Lawyers-2021. In addition to practical work, Vladislav regularly speaks at various forums on the legal aspects of venture capital investments.

The Laboratory Program Director oversee the creation and management of our laboratory program to deliver significant and distinctive value to the participants. She develop and implement a process aimed at helping participants enhance their capabilities through tailored support and access to resources. The Program Director is responsible for designing the program structure, selecting appropriate experts, managing mentors and technical support providers, and overseeing program services

Dmitriy Fadin

Chief Scientist, Advisor

Dmitrii’s career is dedicated to innovation in the healthcare sector. His dual expertise in medicine and business has equipped him to integrate advanced technologies and products into various medical institutions, optimising patient benefits.

Dmitrii works at At Life Data Lab, a medical software developer, where he drives growth strategies and fosters partnerships. In 2023, he co-founded Symptomato, an online platform that assists users in exploring contemporary solutions to medical challenges.

Since 2018, Dmitrii has been responsible for strategic development and innovation at INVITRO, the largest medical diagnostics company in Eastern Europe. Previously, he worked at OMB, a distribution business that provides medical institutions with access to advanced technologies and products, focusing on their practical application in real-world settings.

Taya Kudashkina

I contribute to Expanse’s success by creating a sustainable ecosystem that drives growth and innovation in the Health Tech market. Through effective partnerships I am enabling key market players to enhance their products and services with cutting-edge start-up capabilities.

As the Head of Ecosystem and Partnerships I build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in the Life Science sector. This includes major private organizations, universities, hospitals, innovation agencies, healthcare service providers, industry accelerators, government entities and many more.

I leverage my 15 years of experience in the start-up industry to ensure a consistent influx of potential partners, enabling health market players to access and benefit from leading life science start-up capabilities.
